Rapid COVID-19 Testing Now Available at All Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health Centers

Contact: Annie Keller |

CHICAGO, IL Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health, now part of WellNow Urgent Care, one of the country’s fastest-growing urgent care providers, is now offering COVID-19 rapid antigen testing at all 34 of its centers in Ohio and Michigan. Hometown locations serve patients in the areas of Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Northeast Ohio, as well as Fenton and Portage North, Michigan.

For added convenience, Hometown has also implemented an enhanced visit planning and check-in process at almost all its centers to minimize wait times and reduce the spread of the virus. The new process allows patients to check in online, including e-registration, and book an appointment for COVID-19-related services. Hometown expects to bring online check-in to all remaining centers – including Alliance, Poland and Niles – before the end of the month.

“We understand the need for patients to receive their results quickly in order to make informed decisions about their health,” said John Radford, M.D., President at WellNow Urgent Care. “We’re pleased to bring rapid testing to all of our locations in Ohio and Michigan and to provide patients with a safe, simple and convenient online check-in experience.”

The CareStart™ COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test returns results in 15 minutes, with negative results requiring a confirmatory PCR swab test, which is taken during the same visit and returns results in 2-4 days. Molecular PCR swab tests and antibody tests are currently available at all Hometown centers. No referral or prescription is needed to receive testing. Additional information about COVID-19, including testing cost and insurance coverage, can be found at

Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health continues to provide timely treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses such as sprains, burns, colds and allergies while also providing on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals. Urgent care services are treated on a walk-in basis, but patients are encouraged to call ahead to check in for their visit.
