When we owned our own urgent care centers they struggled financially and operationally. As a hospital system, we understood the importance of growing our urgent care footprint quickly, but also had other competing system initiatives. We believed it would be advantageous to partner with one of the leaders in the urgent care space with a proven track record and great real estate. Our joint venture with WellNow has exceeded our expectations and we opened more centers in less than two years than projected. We also saw a significant financial turnaround and online review scores in the seven centers the hospital previously owned.
